This Sunday, we are incredibly honored to release Thunder Twins Pilsner, our small part in a tremendous collaboration between Harlem Brew South, Métier Brewing Company, The Josh Gibson Foundation and Buck Leonard Association to honor two of the Negro Leagues greats and Homestead Grays heroes, Josh Gibson and Buck Leonard.

Leading the Grays to nine consecutive Negro National League Pennants, Gibson and Leonard are among the greatest hitters and all-around players in baseball history. Together they were known as the Thunder Twins.

Their memories and legacies continue on through two great family-run foundations, both of which are focused on providing opportunities for children in their communities, the Josh Gibson Foundation and Buck Leonard Association.

In participation with this campaign, we will be donating $1 per glass of every Thunder Twins Pilsner that we serve to these foundations. And, on Sunday, to celebrate the release, we will be donating $1 from every product we sell (beer, wine, food, cocktails and merch alike!) to these foundations, as well as donating 100% of the proceeds for every Lithograph of the Tony-Canepa-designed Josh Gibson portrait sold to the Josh Gibson Foundation.

We are also honored to welcome Celeste Beatty, founder of Harlem Brewing, and Sean Gibson, the great grandson of Josh Gibson, to Golden Age to discuss the project and other ways you can help these great organizations.

We will kick off the day at noon with live jazz from the Thomas Wendt quartet, which will play until 3. And then we will end the day with J. Malls spinning slow grooves from 3-6.
