Live jazz, tiki drinks, cold lager, all-vinyl DJs

Celebrate spring with golden age and hidden harbor in the coolest venue in pittsburgh.

Hidden Harbor and Golden Age are teaming up once again to bring you an awesome experience in a century-old, repurposed church in Homestead. THIS IS RED, is a creative studio and event space in a former Slovakian Church. It also happens to have the the best stage and acoustics in Pittsburgh (and it might just be the most beautiful space we’ve ever seen). We’re excited to bring the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra and New York’s Satin Dollz to the stage for an afternoon and evening of celebrating live music, the return of spring, tiki cocktails, crisp spring-time wines, and cold lager.

We will be decking out the church with four bars, including a fully-constructed tiki bar on the main level, an alpine sparkling wine bar in the choir mezzanine, a mid-century basement bar, and an outdoor rum and cigar bar in the Church garden. Our friends from Pittsburgh vintage mixer will be helping create the coolest retro ambiance in Pittsburgh, with a basement spring break slideshow lounge and photo booth, perfect for sipping martinis and mingling with friends. Spring flowers will be on full display with spectacular floral arrangements from our friend Community Flower Shop.

The Golden Age kitchen will be running a kitchen of tex-mex inspired street food perfect for grabbing and going, while you explore the incredible THIS IS RED space. Golden Age beer will be available on the main floor and in the basement.

Finally, the best DJ in Pittsburgh, J. Malls of Titletown fame, will be spinning 50s and 60s beach-inspired 45s in the basement bingo lounge.

The event will run from 3-10 p.m., with entertainment scheduled throughout the day and drinks and food flowing all day long. The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra will take the stage at 6:00 p.m., and will alternate sets with the Satin Dollz for the remainder of the evening.

Tickets are just $20 and are available via eventbrite, here. If still available, tickets will cost $25 at the door the day of the event.
