We love bourbon (ALMOST as much as we love beer)! And there’s no better day to enjoy it than on Kentucky Derby Day. Join us for our third annual Kentucky Derby party, a celebration of big hats, Kentucky Bourbon, mint juleps, fried chicken, and (of course) cold beer. We’ve got a full day of entertainment and fun planned for you:
4-6 p.m. Race Pre-game and Big Hat Contest DJ’ed by Dr. HollyHood and Hosted by Phat Man Dee. Our Big Hat Contest is open to ALL hat lovers, men, women, and non-binary persons alike, and is designed to be inclusive, fun, and affirming. $5 suggested donation to enter, with all proceeds going to the EQUUS Foundation, dedicated to the dual mission of protecting America's horses from peril and strengthening the bond between people and horses. $50 Golden Age Gift Card to the winner!
6-7 p.m. Televised Race Coverage
7-10 p.m. Live Southern rock, jazz, and soul with John Gresh Gris Gris
As always, live entertainment at Golden Age is FREE TO THE PEOPLE. No cover charges here, folks.
Our kitchen will have a special fried chicken menu running all day long, and our bar will be running mint juleps alongside a killer bourbon menu.
