Double New Year's Eve Party!

  • Golden Age Beer Company 337 East 8th Avenue Homestead, PA, 15120 United States (map)

Following the success of our four-bar Halloween party, the Independent Hospitality Group is excited to announce that it will ring in the new year, not once but TWICE with all FOUR of its bars and kitchens at our brewery, Golden Age.  Two New Year’s Eves!?!  But how, you ask?

Join us first as Lorelei and Golden Age celebrate New Year’s Eve not just German style, but on German time (6 p.m. EST).  Perfect for families or for those who would rather ring in the New Year’s at home (or even asleep in bed), German New Year’s Eve will include cocktails and German wines from Lorelei, a spanferkel or German-style “good luck” pig roast along with other German eats, Golden Age lagers and other special European beers (with a whole bar-top firkin of the highly sought, 13% abv Harviestoun Ola Dubh 12 year), alongside Golden Age (and kid favorite) staples of pizza, fries, and wings.  We’ll be joined by the one-and-only DJMB, from Alternate Histories, who will be DJing a blend of European and American soul, funk, and pop, and we’ll ring in the new year’s with a keg drop, and a countdown from ten in German.

Then, the IBC and Hidden Harbor will take over for a more traditional American New Year’s Eve, transforming the brewery into a swanky Mid-Century Steak House.  That’s right, folks, we’ll be using that beautiful wood-fired pizza oven to sizzle some spectacular cuts of steak to order.  And, the bartenders from the IBC and Hidden Harbor will be slinging some baller versions of the mid-century classics.  Think the platonic ideals of Martinis, Mai Tais, Manhattans, Old-Fashioneds, and the like, with premium spirits, and no corners cut.  To keep the swanky feel going, we’ll be serving Champagne (the real stuff, naturally), providing table service, and playing a swinging mix of mid-century soul, jazz, and disco to get (and keep) you moving.  Beer lover?  No worries – we’ll have our full menu of Golden Age lagers running all day long, and we’ll be damned if we don’t want to pair our Schwarzbier with one of those juicy wood-fired steaks.

As always, there is no cover charge for any of our events at New Year’s Eve, and we welcome all for either event.  There will be no break in service between the two events, and our bar will be open from Noon until 1 a.m. Our kitchen will remain open continuously from noon until 10 p.m.  Well behaved dogs are always welcome on our patio where we’ll have fire pits lit, and a pig spit-roasting in the afternoon.
